Performative Conversations

This experiment questions the format of the performance as an artwork.

I created a performance context consisting of a scenario, and different attributes (beamer, clothes,  pillow, posters, tape measure, notebook and pencil).

With the group of participants I discussed this performance on the basis of several propositions.

Such as:

• A conversation an artwork is can be an artwork.

• The context of an artwork is a necessary part of the conversation.

• A personal experience can be the motive for a performance.

• Is it possible to reach a consensus about what happened in this performance context?

 

The performance itself was never executed. It functioned as a cause of debate.
